August (male)- Bearded Dragon
Nutrition
For every day food, young bearded dragons typically eat crickets or small dubia roaches. Try to introduce greens very young. It is important that they eat greens young, so that when they get big, they like them. Once an adult, they eat more greens than bugs.
Well-Being
Habitat
In the wild it is mostly rocky desserts. In captivity as baby bearded dragons you should keep them on a carpet substrait or walnut bedding. Do not use sand for babies (it can kill them). For adults you can use real sand or walnut bedding. Keep temps around 105-110F.
I keep him in a nice large tank, 29 gallons (40 would be best once he is bigger). I feed him once a day. Crickets, Dubia roaches or super worms for a treat. Romaine Lettuce or Collards ever other day with calcium powder and filtered water. I try to hold him daily.
